GOING GREEN INFO: In reference to cleaning:?

I know there are green cleaning products. My question is this, is it better to use paper towels to clean with (making more trash-recycle) OR using a cloth that would have to be washed (therefore using more water and electricity)? Any other green cleaning tips would be appreciated.
