Did you know that most household cleaners are made from things that can kill you? Of course you did, that’s why we keep those things away from small children. Everyone knows that. But did you ever stop to think what they were doing to you (and your small children) after you cleaned? That “fresh scent” is NOT natural nor is it good for you.

There’s no need to throw away your old cleaners in favor of the all-natural substitutions found in this book… but -I- did as soon as I realized what was in those cleaners that I have been using for years. For example, the book suggests to use boiling hot water to unclog a drain. It works! I always have water and a pot on-hand. No longer do I need to stock caustic drain cleaner under my sink, where little hands might get to it.

You can read this book with its simple message and memorable photographs in one evening, but it will change your life — and the planet — for ever. For those with respiratory problems, it’s a God-send. A must-have for all parents, no matter how old your kids are.

This book is worth its weight in gold! I learned so much about the dos and don’ts about keeping my family and our home naturally, healthy. This book disspelled a number of myths and sheds some light on the mystery of moving in a “green” direction. I’ve made a number of changes in our home since reading this book, and at little to no extra expense. I particularly love the resource section of this book, which offers a plethora of websites and contacts that will take a person to the next level in their quest to “go green.” The author organizes the chapters & topics very well, making the book easy to read. The colors and graphics are exceptionally pleasing. I bought more copies for Mother’s Day gifts, classroom teacher & Girl Scout leader end of year gifts, a wedding shower and a baby shower gift. This was a great find!
