What all can vinegar be used for, please? ?

Posted March 8, 2010 – 11:46 pm in: Green Cleaning Tips

I have heard that vinegar can be used for many things from cleansers, to disinfectants to health remedies. I know it can be used to clean aquariums & other pet areas, windows, can be used on greens (turnip, kale, mustard, spinach & so on) and a boiling pot of it supposedly removes odors from a room. But I would like to know of any other uses out of curiousity as well as possibly cutting cleanser & medical costs.

Thanks in advance for all answers & tips. :)

Vinegar is acetic acid, about 5% if you buy it at the store. some people like to drink apple cider vinegar diluted with water. it tastes pretty good and is supposed to ward off colds. Mix it with baking soda and make volcanoes; always fun.

I learned some really great tips from that site! Like using it to make nail polish last longer. Vinegar is really cheap, so it’s great to try some of these tips… even they don’t work that well, you haven’t really wasted much money trying!
