Baking soda and vinegar cleans just about anything if you use it regularly. Amazingly enough, sometimes clear water cleans a lot too.
I recently started using Holy Cow! and I LOVE it. It works for just about everything- laundry, tiles, surfaces, glass, carpets, grease stains, driveways…it’s basically an all-purpose cleaner that actually works. I would provide a website, but theirs seems to be down the lately.
I also use Method’s glass cleaner, surface cleaner, and toilet bowl cleaner. They all work well, but I Holy Cow! works better on surfaces. Method, I think, has a better glass cleaner..but Holy Cow! does have it’s own glass cleaner that I’ve never tried. Website: http://www.methodhome.com/
Seventh Generation is another brand that I love. I use their dish soap, dishwasher powder, and trash bags. They all work great.Website: http://www.seventhgeneration.com/
I did use Seventh Generation laundry detergent until I found Ecos t at Costco for half the price. I like it just as much. Website: http://www.ecos.com/ecosliquid.html
All of these products are not only green, but non-animal tested as well. Hope this helps!
there wipes and surface cleaner really work.
I use really good quality microfiber cloths that you just need to use water with – never cleaners. This works out to be cheaper over the year, andis even more environmentally friendly than most of the new ‘green’products.
Not any old microfiber will do though. For more information on how microfiber works, go to http://www.sensible-house-cleaning-solutions.com
there are quite a few recipes for effective home-made cleaners on that website as well.
