I need to wear make up, but i need some suggestions on how to make it all look a little bit more natural w/o?
Posted April 1, 2010 – 4:46 pm in: Green Cleaning Tipsusing less cosmetic products.
Here’s what i wear after washing my face:
-Clean & Clear Shine Control Moisturizer [Cant change]
-Black mascara [can't change the color]
-Black or purple eyeliner [i refuse to wear brown]
-Blush [I need suggestions on a matte natural looking one]
- Bare mineral foundation/concealor
- pink or purple eye shadow [can not wear brown, but if you know of any pink or purple eyeshadows that look sort of natural or not so dark...please tell me]
I have aqua green blue eyes and thats why i cant change the color scheme for my eyes. Browns actually make my eyes look darker.
Any tips???
I’m going to sephora later so if you could reccomend anything from there, that’d be greaat. <3

No offense, but if you are not going to be more open to changes, then you won’t be able to… the problem IS the COLORS because natural colors, that don’t make it look like you are wearing make-up, are earth-tones (like dark green, dark blue, and brown…)
Plus you are wearing TOO much… My suggestions:
-powder of your skin color
-colorless chapstick
-brown eyeliner
-dark purple or brown eyeshadow
——These give the best natural look…. good luck!!!——
black eyeliner, pinkish blush, pink eyeshadow
General tips:
-Blend, blend, blend.
-To make eyeliner look more natural there’s a technique called tightlining you can use. (instructions in sources)
-Choose a blush that’s the same color as your cheeks after exercising (I don’t know specific brands from Sephora, sorry).
-Use eye shadows that are more earthy. (e.g. plum, peach, or charcoal grey instead of bright purple or silver)
If you have very light hair, black mascara and eyeliner is going to look unnatural no matter what. It should be okay if you’re a brunette or have black hair. To minimize the unnatural look use lengthening mascara instead of the volumizing kind with fibers, and make sure they are no clumps.
Go to Bare Essentials and tell them you want to have more natural looking make-up… they will fix you up good!
